Principles of Community

In the Department of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, we embrace the UC Davis Principles of Community, which affirm our dedication to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and equitable environment for all. We strive to ensure that all members of our community—undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and staff—feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive. By upholding these principles in our teaching, research, and service, we seek to create a department where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the advancement of science and society.

Advisors for Inclusive Excellence

Advisors for Inclusive Excellence in NPB help foster a respectful and inclusive departmental environment by serving as liaisons between the department and campus. They provide guidance on practices that support fairness, transparency, and a positive community culture. Equity Advisors consult on faculty recruitment, advancement, and retention, and support efforts to ensure that all members of our department are valued and respected.
